By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – Hopkinton water rates may go up and down over the next couple of years. At this week’s Select Board meeting the Public Works and Water and Sewer departments reviewed expenses and proposed rates for the next three fiscal years. The Hopkinton Independent reports one main expense has been connecting with the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority to eliminate PFAS contamination. Officials say rates could possibly go up 40% in 2025, but then down 25% in 2026 and then down another 7% in 2027.
