Now that voters have approved a new Elmwood School, Hopkinton’s Elementary School Building Committee can focus more on the timeline. The Hopkinton Independent reports at their meeting this week officials said design development will run through spring when they start working on the long process of getting permits from state and local environmental officials. They estimate a construction contract could be approved in early 2025 and then work would take about 2 years with the school projected to open in 2028.
