Hopkinton Vape Shop Owner Charged with Evading $468K in Excise Taxes

By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – The Hopkinton-based owner of some Vape Shops is facing charges for allegedly failing to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars in excise taxes. The Middlesex District Attorney says Ashraf Youssef, who owns AAA Smoke & Vape in Marlborough and one in Whitinsville, is charged with three counts of tax evasion for allegedly not paying about $468,000 in excise taxes specific to electronic nicotine delivery systems for about 3 years. Youssef was arraigned last week in Middlesex Superior Court; his next court date is July 9.
