Hopkinton Superintendent Carol Cavanaugh to Retire

By MyFM’s Claire BeverlyHopkinton Schools Superintendent Carol Cavanaugh is stepping down at the end of the school year. Cavanaugh announced in a letter to the community that she has decided to retire after seven years at the helm and nearly 30 years in education. She tells the Hopkinton Independent it was a difficult decision and at this time she has no other plans beyond the end of the school year. Cavanaugh’s time has included navigating student population growth and with it the new Marathon School, pending new Charleswood School, and pending expansion of Hopkins School.
