Hopkinton Shifts White Metal Recycling to Saturdays

By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – There are some changes in how to recycle appliances and so-called white metals in Hopkinton. Town Manager Elaine Lazarus says in her weekly report that white metal recycling for residents is now weekly, rather than monthly and is now done on Saturdays at E.L. Harvey on Wood Street. The DPW will do just two more on the last Saturdays in October and November. There is no charge for white metal recycling which includes stoves, washers, water heaters and microwaves but not fridges, freezers or AC’s.
