HOPKINTON — The Hopkinton Select Board has adopted the town’s proposed budget for fiscal year 2027.
The budget now moves to the Appropriation Committee for review before heading to voters at the Annual Town Meeting on Saturday, May 2.
According to the Hopkinton Independent, the budget also includes $15,000 for holiday lights in town. Last year the decorations were initially canceled until residents raised the money through grassroots donations. This year, officials funded the lights using money previously allocated for a rental expense.
