HOPKINTON – As construction continues on Hopkinton’s new Charleswood Elementary School, town officials are looking to bring on a full-time civil engineer to oversee related roadwork expected to ramp up next summer.

According to the Hopkinton Independent, the project manager told the Elementary School Building Committee at its most recent meeting that a dedicated civil engineer would help manage construction alongside existing traffic, easing impacts on residents. The engineer would also be able to respond more quickly to technical challenges, such as soil issues, that current town staff are not equipped to handle as efficiently.
