Hopkinton Secures Over $280K in State and Federal Grants to Boost Town Services

Hopkinton has recently received a handful of grants to help bolster town services. Town Manager Elaine Lazarus says in her weekly update they received a $67,000 Community Compact IT Grant for some new budgeting software; a total of nearly $13,000 in various fire safety grants for community risk reduction education, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors for seniors and firefighter safety equipment; about $26,250 from FEMA towards a hazard mitigation plan and about $174,000 from the state for road upgrades.
