A vacancy on the Hopkinton School Committee was one of the main topics of discussion when they met last week. Earlier this month Holly Morand resigned from the Committee to take a job with Hopkinton Youth & Family Services and it is considered a conflict of interest to do both. The Hopkinton Independent reports the School Committee will hold a joint meeting with the Select Board to appoint a successor before the next school budget review meeting on December 21. They are taking applications now.
