By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – Some people accused of illegally selling food out of their homes in Hopkinton are insisting they didn’t do it. Last month the Health Department sent cease and desist letters to several residents that were apparently selling food without a permit. The Hopkinton Independent reports most of them have stopped but two claim to be falsely accused. The Health Director tells the paper if the town doesn’t crack down and someone gets sick from improperly stored or prepared food, the town can be sued.
