By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – The Hopkinton Reservoir Main Beach remains closed to swimming due to high levels of cyanobacteria. Hopkinton Health Director Shaun McAuliffe tells the Hopkinton Independent the state has issued an advisory for the Reservoir inside Hopkinton State Park after testing found unhealthy levels of certain bacteria. McAuliffe says that in itself is not unusual but it is somewhat early in the summer for it, but he thinks the recent heat led to an increase. Dozens of Massachusetts beaches are closed due to bacteria levels.
