By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – Hopkinton has reportedly gotten a $35,000 grant to help prepare for the effects of climate change. At their meeting Tuesday the Conservation Commission announced the grant from the Metropolitan Area Planning Council’s Accelerating Climate Resiliency Grant Program. The Hopkinton Independent reports the money will help develop a climate action plan with what they call “actionable” steps towards climate resilience. They will be scheduling open houses and focus groups in order to harness community involvement.
