Hopkinton Proposes Plans to Meet MBTA Affordable Housing Mandate

By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – Hopkinton’s Zoning Advisory Committee has come up with three recommendations to the Planning Board to help the town comply with the state’s MBTA Communities Act affordable housing zoning requirements. While many towns have been balking at the requirement, Hopkinton continues to work toward the mandate. The Hopkinton Independent reports that of the three plans the ZAC approved, one is an idea that was voted down at the May Annual Town Meeting near The Preserve condos along Cedar.
