Hopkinton Police Receive $35,000 Road Safety Grant

HOPKINTON – Traffic and road safety are getting a boost in Hopkinton thanks to a new state grant.

Police Chief Joseph Bennett says the department has received $35,000 through the Municipal Road Safety Grant Program to support targeted traffic enforcement and safety initiatives.

According to the Hopkinton Independent, $3,500 will be used to purchase a new radar sign that displays vehicle speeds, while the remaining $31,500 will fund overtime for officers dedicated to traffic enforcement. The goal is to promote safe driving and reduce crashes on local roads.
