Hopkinton Police Arrest Man After High-Speed Chase

HOPKINTON – A man is facing multiple charges after police say he was caught driving more than twice the speed limit on West Main Street Saturday night.

According to Hopkinton Police, the driver was stopped for traveling 94 miles per hour in a 45-mph zone before leading an officer on a chase that ended on Hayward Street.

After a field sobriety test, the man was taken into custody. A search of his vehicle reportedly uncovered medications for which he did not have prescriptions.

He is charged with drug possession, OUI drugs, OUI liquor, and negligent operation.
