By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – The Hopkinton Planning Board is reportedly going to stay one member short until the Town Election. At their meeting this week the Board discussed the resignation of Ron Priefer who said in a letter to the Select Board that he was resigning in protest of the Select Board’s termination of Hopkinton Police Sgt. Tim Brennan. The Hopkinton Independent reports that since it is now so close to the May Town Election, the Planning Board voted to ask the Select Board to put the position on the ballot rather than choose someone.
