HOPKINTON — Town officials are continuing efforts to finalize Hopkinton’s MBTA Communities zoning plan.
Massachusetts municipalities were required to adopt zoning plans supporting additional affordable housing by 2025. Hopkinton voters approved a proposal at a Special Town Meeting in late 2024, but it did not meet one of the state’s size requirements.
According to the Hopkinton Independent, the Planning Board voted unanimously this week to recommend a revised plan that would combine the downtown district with the Walcott Valley area by adding eight parcels along Walcott Street.
