The Hopkinton Planning Board has reportedly voted to remove an article from the May 5 Annual Town Meeting warrant. The Hopkinton Independent reports at their meeting Monday the Board decided to rescind the article that called for rezoning a portion of South Street at Hayward Street from residential lakefront to rural business after the person who had asked for it, the owner of Marguerite Concrete, withdrew his plan. Board members said a similar article had been soundly rejected at the 2023 Annual Town Meeting and they reportedly called it “tone deaf” to ask about it again.
