By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – A Hopkinton Planning Board member has resigned, reportedly in reaction to the Select Board firing a police officer accused of withholding information about allegations that another officer had sexually abused a student in 2005. HopNews has printed the letter of resignation from Ronny Priefer, who alleges the Select Board’s actions have “caused potential harm to rape victims”. He also cites the hiring of a new town accountant who’d been fired from her previous job and says both moves highlight “incompetence”.
