HOPKINTON – The Hopkinton Parks and Recreation Commission has approved a new agreement with the town designed to strengthen cash-handling and purchasing practices.
According to the Hopkinton Independent, the decision follows a state investigation into former officials who violated procurement laws and kept concession cash separate.
The commission’s new memorandum outlines updated procedures to ensure proper oversight and future compliance with state and local financial regulations.
