Hopkinton officials are looking into the collapse of part of a wall at a school construction site Wednesday morning. Hopkinton police and firefighters responded around 1130am to Hopkins Elementary where a new two-story extension is being built. The Fire Chief says some scaffolding collapsed which caused a 15-by-40-foot section of a wall to fall. No workers were hurt and there were no students nearby. There was no damage to the main building but the Fire Department evacuated the four classrooms closest to the construction site as a precaution. A town building inspector has been at the scene.
