HOPKINTON – A Hopkinton man has been charged in connection with an alleged self-checkout shoplifting scheme at the Target store in Milford.
Milford Police say Target’s Asset Protection team reported a series of 12 known incidents earlier this month, in which a man allegedly used the self-checkout lanes to pay for some items while slipping other merchandise into his bag without scanning it.
According to police, store surveillance footage and self-checkout scan data allowed detectives to trace the alleged thefts back to August. Investigators were then able to identify Christopher Dellelo of Hopkinton as the suspect.
Police say Dellelo is now charged with larceny, and the case remains pending in court.
