Hopkinton Main Street Project Awaits Transformers to Finish Underground Utilities

By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – The overhead electric work on Hopkinton’s Main Street Corridor Project is said to be between 75-80% complete as officials wait for the undergrounding of utilities to be complete. The Hopkinton Independent reports town officials have been told that Eversource is still waiting on some transformers so they can finish the underground work. Meanwhile there is a public tree hearing July 1 with Hopkinton’s tree warden to consider removing a maple tree to allow new overhead utility lines near 7 East Main.
