Hopkinton Looks To Change Zoning For Multifamily and Affordable Housing

Hopkinton’s Zoning Advisory Committee has started looking at how the town could change some zoning to comply with the state’s requirement to have multifamily and affordable housing available near public transportation. The Hopkinton Independent reports officials said Hopkinton currently has enough available acreage to meet the MBTA Communities law and right now only has to make the zoning changes in order to be ready to meet the requirements, but not actually have to build any of the housing yet.
