By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – The founder of the Hopkinton Independent has passed away. The paper confirms Sarah Lothrop Duckett died on Friday at the age of 77 after a period of declining health. She founded the community-oriented paper in 1999 and sold it to David Bagdon and Susanne Odell Farber in 2018. Duckett was also a volunteer for several town committees and nonprofits and among other things helped create the Hopkinton Senior Center. Her husband Frank passed away last November. They’d been married 47 years.
