By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – After time to review the issue, the Hopkinton Historical Commission has reportedly given their OK to tear down an old home downtown on Cedar Street to make way for a new development. The Hopkinton Independent reports at their meeting this week the Commission rescinded a stay on the demolition of the home and gave approval for a mixed-use plan which also includes the former Hopkinton Drug building on Main Street. The new project could have about 60 living units plus retail space and its own parking.
