Hopkinton has a new Parks and Recreation Director replacing Jay Guelfi who retired earlier this summer. On Monday the Parks and Rec Commission voted unanimously to give the job to Jonathan Lewitus. The Hopkinton Independent reports Commissioners felt both Lewitus and the other finalist Mark Kelly would be great but gave Lewitus the edge because of his budgetary experience as the assistant town recreation director in Brookline and his specialized experience in programming for people with disabilities.
