By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – A Hopkinton gym teacher has been named the Middle School Teacher of the Year by the Massachusetts Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance. Kristen Santos has been teaching for 26 years including 20 in Hopkinton. The tells the Hopkinton Independent you really have to love and understand the age group and understand that not all kids are athletic, working to make physical education as non-competitive and fun as possible. Santos is also a leader in the Yoga community.
