HOPKINTON – Several Hopkinton first responders are recovering from injuries after being assaulted by a man they were called to help.
It happened Thursday on Main Street involving a man who had just been released from probation. The Hopkinton Independent reports he was first found slumped over by an officer who called EMTs. But he reportedly started fighting those helping, kicking them and threatening to kill the police officer and bomb the police station.
The EMTs were able to sedate him. He was hospitalized and also arrested. His probation had been for assault and several other charges in Framingham.
