HOPKINTON – The Hopkinton Fire Department has received a $2,500 Enbridge Safe Communities Grant that will be used to purchase and install smoke and carbon monoxide alarms for local residents who need them. Hopkinton’s Fire Prevention Officer says the funding will help ensure vulnerable community members — particularly seniors and families with young children — have working alarms in their homes.
Residents who need a smoke or carbon monoxide alarm, or assistance installing one, are encouraged to contact the Hopkinton Fire Department.
