By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – The Hopkinton Fire Department is about to get two new fire trucks. Hop News reports last week Interim Fire Chief Gary Daugherty was in Appleton, Wisconsin to inspect the vehicles that are being custom built at Pierce Manufacturing. Money for one of them was approved at the 2021 Annual Town Meeting to replace an engine that’s 22 years old. The other truck’s funding is coming from insurance, replacing a rig that was destroyed in a 2021 fire at Bulldog Fire Apparatus where it was undergoing maintenance.
