If you have kids with food allergies, here’s something that could help. The Hopkinton Parks and Recreation Commission has approved adding a sign at EMC Park to remind visitors to eat at the picnic tables and not near the playground equipment because of people who have food allergies. Hopkinton had an anaphylaxis death eight years ago. The Hopkinton Independent reports the town health director is very enthusiastic about the idea and hopes Hopkinton’s sign will become a model for statewide park signage.
