Hopkinton Dems Skip Caucus Ahead of Town Election

By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – The Hopkinton Democratic Town Committee will not be holding a caucus before the May 20 Annual Town Election after all. At last year’s Special Town Meeting voters did away with the party caucus nominating process but because the rule will not take effect until next year after it gets state legislative approval, the Dems decided to caucus. But the Hopkinton Independent reports at last week’s Democratic Town Committee meeting, they decided the discussion was a distraction from the candidates and bagged it.
