By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – Hopkinton may be having a Special Town Meeting to ask for more money for some fire department projects. Tuesday night the town manager told the Select Board the HVAC system upgrade for the main fire station and design services for the Woodville Fire Station were already approved by Town Meeting but the bids to do them have come in a lot higher than what was approved. The Hopkinton Independent reports the town also suddenly needs a new Highway Department truck after one reportedly caught on fire.
