HOPKINTON – An assistant principal at Hopkinton’s Marathon School has been placed on administrative leave, according to an email sent to families.
Superintendent and Principal officials said Eric Mitchell was placed on leave “pending an investigation into an incident that occurred outside of school hours, unrelated to his work at HPS.” Because it is a personnel matter, no additional details about the incident were released. School officials emphasized there is “no information to suggest any impact on student safety at Marathon School.”
