By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – Hopkinton’s Planning Board is working on how to approach the state-mandated MBTA Communities Act Law after Town Meeting voted down a plan last month. Many towns across the state have been balking at the mandate designed to get towns to look into changing zoning laws to increase access to affordable housing. The Hopkinton Independent reports the Planning Board decided to try “paper compliance” which means choosing zones that are probably not going to be developed within the next 20 years.
