Hopkinton Activates PFAS Treatment System at Town Well #6

By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – Hopkinton’s Water Department is reportedly now in full use of a PFAS treatment system at Town Well #6 after the state gave its official OK for the system. The Hopkinton Independent reports the Department of Public Works has confirmed the Department of Environmental Protection’s approval for Hopkinton to activate the treatment system for the so-called “forever chemicals” that have been used in common household products for more than 80 years but in the last decade have shown links to certain illnesses.
