HOPEDALE – Hopedale officials are reminding residents that hunting is not allowed in the Parklands, even though the area may appear suitable for it. The announcement came Monday — the first day of Deer Season — after the Town Administrator reported concerning reports of potential hunting activity with firearms in the Parklands.
Officials emphasize that while the Parklands are woodsy, the area contains several frequently used hiking trails and homes that directly abut the property, making any hunting activity unsafe. They say the prohibition is in place strictly for public safety and ask residents to remain aware and report any suspicious activity.
