HOPEDALE – If you notice Hopedale Police driving through neighborhoods at night with their bright, front-facing white lights on, there’s a deliberate reason behind it.
The department says officers are now using their takedown lights during nighttime patrols as part of an ongoing effort to enhance community safety.
According to police, the increased illumination allows for better identification of suspicious activity, faster responses to potential threats, and helps deter crime before it happens. They also say the added visibility creates safer conditions for residents in the areas being patrolled.
