MILFORD – Longtime public servant the Honorable Judge Francis Larkin has passed away at the age of 92.
The Milford native served as Presiding Justice of the Milford District Court and also sat on both the Appellate and Superior Courts. He was the first-ever recipient of the American Bar Association’s Judicial Administration Lifetime Achievement Award.
Beyond the courtroom, Judge Larkin remained deeply involved in civic life. He served as Town Moderator in Hopedale from 1993 through 2018 and led several Memorial Day parades in the community.
Judge Larkin was also known as a prolific volunteer and philanthropist, giving generously of his time and resources throughout the region.
His funeral will be held Monday, January 26, at Edwards Memorial Funeral Home.
