HOLLISTON – In their ongoing effort to prevent drug overdose deaths, the Holliston Drug & Alcohol Awareness Coalition and Holliston Police recently trained more than 50 town employees on how to use Narcan, a life-saving medication that can reverse opioid overdoses.

As a result of the training, all participating employees and town buildings are now equipped with multiple doses of Narcan, ensuring quicker response if someone experiences an overdose.

Officials say the program is part of a broader push to make overdose-reversal tools more accessible throughout the community. Residents interested in obtaining Narcan can stop by the HDAAC office on Washington Street, and the coalition can also provide Narcan training for organizations upon request.
