The Holliston Historical Commission has reportedly been talking about maybe relocating the Metcalf Pump House. According to the Holliston Reporter, as the Town awaits approvals to develop the former Axton Cross site on Cross Street into a new Department of Public Works, the Commission discussed moving the 1870 Pump House to Cross so it would be reunited with its original purpose – Hydrant 3 – and more people could access it. However, some said moving it could affect its listing on the National Historic Register.
