Heat Advisory: Hopkinton Police and Fire Chiefs Urge Child Safety

By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – With a heat advisory in effect through Wednesday, Hopkinton’s Police and Fire Chiefs are reminding parents about heat safety for kids. Last week Hopkinton Police responded after a child was accidently locked in a hot vehicle for more than 10 minutes. An officer broke the car window with his baton and the baby is fine but they say it is not OK to leave your kids in a car with the windows up for any amount of time during an extreme heat advisory. Also have it so kids are playing outside only in the morning and evening.
