MILFORD – Diana Haynes has been elected to the Milford Board of Health following Tuesday’s town election, winning a three-way race with 522 votes over Rosemary Cerqueira and Scott Vechiolla. She will join Loriann Braza and Paul Mazzuchelli on the board, filling the seat previously held by Leonard Izzo, who passed away last September after more than 40 years of service.
Voter turnout was notably low, with the Town Clerk reporting just over 1,100 ballots cast—about 6% of registered voters. Haynes’ victory marks a transition for the board after decades of leadership from Izzo.
