FRANKLIN – A grass roots committee in Franklin says they want to ask the Town for a tax override to help shore up the School District budget. In a post on the Franklin Matters website, One Franklin, who describes themselves as a group of engaged citizens, says they want to help the schools with their “fiscal cliff” by working with elected leaders. They say they have already registered a ballot question committee and once the Town Council comes up with a number they think could pass on the Fall election ballot they will support it.
