Grafton residents should be able to use and enjoy the water at Lake Quinsigamond today after it was closed yesterday for an herbicide treatment for invasive aquatic plants. On Wednesday Worcester’s Department of Sustainability and Resilience and the Lake Quinsigamond Commission applied an herbicide to stop the spread of Eurasian Milfoil and Variable Leaf Milfoil. Officials say overall the herbicide treatment is safe for people and pets but not while it’s being applied so they had everyone steer clear yesterday.
