GRAFTON – A long-awaited reconstruction project for George Hill Road is moving forward after the Grafton Select Board selected a contractor for the $5.9 million improvement project.
The roadway, which stretches between Route 140 and Merriam Road, has long been plagued by drainage issues that have contributed to severe potholes and pavement deterioration. Plans call for the installation of new stormwater drainage infrastructure before the road is rebuilt and widened to 20 feet in width. Funding for the project was approved by Town Meeting voters in 2023.
