By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – The Governor has paid a visit to Westborough’s Ascend Elements. On Tuesday Governor Maura Healey and Economic Development Secretary Yvonne Hao visited Ascend as Healey focuses on businesses that work toward climate innovation in an effort to promote her proposed climate tech initiative. Ascend recycles used batteries and other materials to make new cathode materials for electric vehicle batteries. Now nine years old, Ascend Elements employs 150 people in Massachusetts and 400 around the world.
