HOPKINTON – Residents in Hopkinton, Ashland, and Westborough are being advised to plan ahead as the Fruit Street Bridge over Interstate 495 will be closed this weekend as part of the ongoing I-495/I-90 interchange reconstruction project.
The bridge will be closed from 6 a.m. Saturday through 7 p.m. Sunday between Saddle Hill Road and Huckleberry Road. Drivers will be detoured using Wood Street and Saddle Hill Road, creating a significantly longer route around the closure. Officials encourage motorists to allow extra travel time throughout the weekend.
