Next Sunday August 31 is International Overdose Awareness Day and both Franklin and Wrentham will be marking the day with community vigils. They are from 5–6pm on August 31 at the Franklin Town Common and the Wrentham Town Common. The vigils are hosted by the SAFE Coalition, a local nonprofit committed to inclusive and judgement-free support for substance use prevention, harm reduction, treatment, recovery, and family support. SAFE will also begin installing memorial flag displays in Franklin, Wrentham, Norfolk, and Medway. They are looking for volunteers for that.
